The Association of Pakistani-descent Physicians of North America launched its free clinic for the community of greater St. Louis on September 11, 2011. The leaders of the community including Drs. Manzoor Tariq, Shazia Malick and Naseem Shekhani pledged to provide free medical care for the needy. The clinic is on the premises of Masjid Bilal, but will cater to patients in need without any caste, creed or religious discrimination. St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay, Missouri Governor Jay W. Nixon and State Representative Jamilah Nasheed attended the opening ceremony. National Health Forum feels honored and privileged to have contributed to this noble project.
